The Bride
A short snippet about the bride.
Hannah Lauren Grau grew up in Crestwood, Kentucky. She went to High Point University in North Carolina where she met her closest group of girlfriends while studying Interior Design. She studied abroad in Florence, Italy. After graduation, while working, Hannah never stopped traveling, including her annual St. Patrick’s day trip with her lifelong friend and second family, the Kellys. While celebrating the Irish holiday in Boston, a brother of a friend was invited to join. And again the following year in Savannah, Georgia, where Hannah developed feelings for the mutual family friend, Nick (George) Brehl. With the support of her most handsome, sweet, loving, long-distance boyfriend, she decided to pursue architecture. She moved to St. Louis to attend Washington University with Georgie following shortly after, where she would meet and make another incredible group of friends. He followed her around a global architecture tour and again while she studied architecture in Barcelona, Spain. Since then she spends her free moments visiting D.C., George’s new home as he pursues his career dreams.
The Groom

George Nicholas Brehl also grew up in Crestwood, Kentucky. He attended University of Dayton following his eldest brother’s footsteps and his future-father-in-law’s (without knowing). George met lifelong friends there and studied abroad in Africa in Cameroon. He joined a political campaign while in college and never looked back. He has been active in politics ever since. For several years, George was in New England working on political campaign races. This made it possible for him to join his brother and their mutual friends last minute for their Boston St. Patrick’s Day celebration where he would first meet Hannah. Somehow he earned an invitation to the following year’s celebration where he shared his sweet and protective side to Hannah while at an Irish bar. After dating long distance, George supported Hannah’s transition to graduate school, moving to St. Louis and chasing her around the globe until eventually proposing while she was studying architecture in Barcelona, Spain. He now resides in Washington D.C. continuing his political career and pursuing his dreams.
