Accommodations
Your RSVP secures your stay in our villa for the week, no hotel or resort bookings needed. Each apartment includes a seating area, dining area, and one to four bedrooms. Apartment assignments will be given upon RSVP.
Arrival
Flying into Florence through the Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR) is the easiest means of arriving to the Villa. We are thirty-five minutes outside of the city. From there, taxis are easily accessible and cost-effective for driving to the villa on the thirteenth.
If requested, transportation back to Florence will be provided for departure on the seventeenth.
Rome, Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO), is another great option to fly into and take a train into Florence. There are more flight options and the trains are easy and frequent to Florence. The Florence train station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella, is centrally located and thirty minutes from the villa. The train from Rome to Florence's central train terminal is approximately one and a half hours and costs 65€. From there, you may rent a car or grab a taxi at the station to go to Castello Bibbione
Appetite
Food will be provided throughout the stay. If there are any dietary restrictions please let us know and we will pass along to the villa and chefs. We recommend stopping by a local grocery store/liquor store to grab personal food preferences for snacks and specialty drinks of choice. Wine, spirits, and beer will be limited during the day with unlimited offerings during events.
Attire
Pack travel comfort clothes. The week will be casual lounging and exploring around the castle and winery. Rehearsal dinner will be formal attire, where everyone is dressed in their best fun cocktail/formalwear. For the wedding, everyone will be asked to wear all black formal dresses and black suits for men, tie optional.
Please check your passports to ensure that they are valid for at least 6 months after travel. You can renew online here. We recommend renting a car for those who wish to have the freedom to explore both during our week and before/after.
Renting a car and driving in Italy is very similar to the US and inexpensive when booked early in 2025. They drive on the right side of the road. Hertz, Enterprise, Sixt, etc are all at FLR & FCO. The only prerequisite is to acquire an International Driving Permit, which can be done quickly and easily in-person at any AAA location in the US. There is a helpful guide found here.
